We arrived safely last night in Shanghai. This is the world's largest city and China's largest city with over 13 million people. It is larger in size than the state of West Virginia and all you can see are endless high rise apartment buildings. I will miss Guilin as it was beautiful and that is one of it's mountains below. We went to a university yesterday there and even ate in the university cafeteria and those may have been chicken feet. I even made the acquaintance of a graduate student in economics who wants to be my pen pal. Above are photos from my Guilin hotel room, to the right lunch and below, my new acquaintance.
